Secret Gardens can be described in just a few words.

Just imagine a picturesque village in the Ligurian inland, Borgomaro, where life is slow and relaxed; where the Church bells tell the time; where everybody knows each other and where helping each other is the normal everyday approach.

Now imagine walking through one of the narrow streets (“caruggi” to the locals) of the village, up to the forest boundary to then proceed along a small path through old trees and olive grooves, next to a tiny creek with its waterfalls and natural pools.A few meters on and you will come across an old stone arch, covered in ivy and a small bridge with the creek flowing underneath it.

A couple more steps and suddenly, between the leaves, a clearing. Welcome to Secret Gardens: :a completely refurbished watermill with its lovely terrace gardens for you to enjoy.

You will feel as if time has stopped: just a few hundred meters from the village of Borgomaro you will find yourself in another dimension. A green oasis, surrounded by hills of olive trees, no streets, no cars, no neighbours, the only "noises" being the birds singing, the bees among the flowers, the creek flowing slowly, the squirrels jumping on 200 years old walnut trees.
Peace, silence, relax and privacy: the perfect mix for a relaxing and regenerating holiday.

Secret Gardens is the perfect getaway for nature lovers. Walk or cycle through the olive grooves, relax in our private gardens, have a barbecue in the evening under the stars, with the light of the fireflies around you, refresh in the natural pools of Borgomaro, visit the tiny villages on the sourrounding hills from where the view is simply stunning or go to the beautiful Ligurian Sea which is just few kilometers away.

About Secret Gardens

"Lontano da tutto, vicino a tutto".

Bastano queste parole per descrivere Secret Gardens. Immaginate un pittoresco borgo nell'entroterra ligure, Borgomaro, dove la vita scorre lenta e rilassata; dove il tempo è battuto dalle campane della chiesa. Dove tutti si conoscono e dove aiutarsi l'un l'altro è normale. Ora immaginate di percorrere una delle piccole vie del paese (i cosidetti "caruggi"), sino al limitare del bosco.

Seguite un piccolo sentiero che si inoltra tra alberi secolari e uliveti, con a fianco un ruscello che scorre lento, formando cascate e piscine naturali. Pochi metri sul sentiero e di fronte a voi si presenta un vecchio arco in pietra, ricoperto di edera, ed un piccolo ponte sotto al quale il ruscello scorre gorgogliando. Ancora pochi passi sul sentiero e improvvisamente, tra le foglie, appare una piccola radura fatta di giardini a terrazze dove al centro poggia un vecchio mulino ad acqua, ora completamente ristrutturato: Benvenuti a Secret Gardens..

Qui il tempo pare essersi fermato: bastano poche centinaia di metri dal paese di Borgomaro per entrare in un'altra dimensione. Un'oasi immersa nel verde, circondata dalle colline di ulivi che le fanno da corona, dove non esistono strade, non ci sono vicini, e gli unici "rumori" sono il canto degli uccelli, il ronzare delle api sui fiori, il ruscello che scorre, gli scoiattoli che saltellano tra i rami di noci vecchi 200 anni. Pace, tranquillità, relax e privacy: gli ingredienti perfetti per un soggiorno rilassante e rigenerante.

Passeggiate o pedalate per i sentieri incontaminati che lambiscono gli uliveti, rilassatevi nei nostri giardini privati, fate una grigliata sotto le stelle e con le lucciole a farvi da lanterne, tuffatevi nelle piscine naturali di Borgomaro, visitate i piccoli paesini arroccati sulle colline da dove la vista è mozzafiato oppure arrivate fino al meraviglioso mare della Liguria che da qui dista pochi chilometri.
